× Rich Hall wrote and starred in the satirical series Not Necessarily The News for seven years and was a regular on Saturday Night Live alongside Billy Crystal, Martin Short and Christopher Guest. In his time in the US he was also a writer for The Late Show With David Letterman in the mid 80s, a time when the show surged in popularity.

Rich made the trip to the UK and took to the stage. In 2000 he performed his solo show in the guise of Otis Lee Crenshaw, a much-convicted country singer. The show earned him the main Edinburgh (then Perrier) Comedy Award. As himself, Rich Hall uses his grouchy persona to poke holes in everyday life.
